Setpoint, with foundations dating back to 1991, is a leading provider of quality building automation and energy management solutions in New Zealand. The company is also reknowned for its work in specialist areas such as systems integration and, more recently, work on green building projects. Our solutions meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of performance, and we have in place sound local back-up and support that customers can rely on.

Well established offices are located in the main metropolitan centres of Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin servicing these wider regions.

Each office is able to offer customers a full range of local expertise and services including design, installation, programming, commissioning, servicing, as well as plant and energy efficiency advice. All offices have warehouse facilities stocking building automation system equipment and a comprehensive range of spare parts.

Setpoint also has two subsidiary companies, en-equip which supplies Energy and Enviro products and solutions to the market, and smart-hdl which provides Home Automation and Lighting Automation solutions.

Setpoint philosophy

We have a vision to specialise in providing solutions that have a positive effect on our natural world and its resources. This is either achieved by directly reducing energy consumption or by improving controlled environmental conditions for energy conservation.

As a company we further reinforce this philosophy by running our own business as best as we can in an environmentally responsible way. This is achieved through measures such as:

upgrading our company vehicles to a new low emission fuel-efficient fleet
having stationery produced from recycled materials
using only recycled copier and printing paper
recycling of office waste materials
utilising heat pump air conditioning
time/temperature control on air conditioning and hot water systems
some occupancy/light level control of office lighting

Setpoint is a member of the NZ Green Building Council demonstrating our commitment to green building practices in New Zealand and our ever increasing involvement in the field of green building solutions.

We also have a partnership with DOC for saving a threatened NZ wildlife species, the Jewelled Gecko, which includes funding and field work.

As a company we are committed to this path and will be striving to do more in these areas as the company evolves.
